Welcome

Summer 2008 Courses will be online Soon!

Southeastern Free Will Baptist College is pleased to announce the establishment of our new Center for Online Studies. The Spring of 2008 marks our 11th semester of offering college classes online.

Supervising and teaching in this program is Dr. Danny Baer who has his Ph.D. in Computers in Technology in Education. Not only did Dr. Baer take many courses in the online environment, he also completed a number of graduate level classes concerning online delivery systems and online learning theory.

Summer 2008 online classes usually begin around May 15th (each summer class is different, so the start date is up to the professor). They will end on or before August 28th.

What Courses are Available?

Video Courses

We also have three courses available via video tape.

Church Education 101 & Church Education 301

These are 2 credit hour courses taught by Dr. Randy Cox.

Church Education 401

This is a 2 credit hour course taught by Dr. Dann Patrick.

Please call the school office or click here for more information.

What are Online Studies?

Traditional correspondence courses are mailed to students who complete the work with little time constraints and virtually no contact with professors. Online studies are offered during a semester that is set up with starting and ending dates, and assignments are due during the course of the semester. This way each course offered has a professor guiding the students through the learning process as well as a class of students that make up a community of learners who can communicate with each other while taking the course.

 What will it cost?

Our online classes will be charged at the same rate as our on campus classes. That cost is $125 per semester hour.

 What’s in Store?

It is our desire that we will be able to offer all of the courses we now offer through our External Studies Program online. We also hope to offer many courses we now teach in the classroom online. Eventually, we hope to offer Bible Certificates for Sunday School teachers and Church workers as well as four year degrees through our online program.
