Daniel Osborne serves as the Chairperson of the Business Department at Southeastern Free Will Baptist College, bringing extensive experience in accounting, finance, and Christian leadership. Holding an advanced degree in Accountancy and Business Administration, he skillfully integrates biblical principles with core business practices in his teaching. As the Chief Financial Officer of the college, Daniel oversees crucial financial and operational aspects, ensuring that the institution’s values are reflected in its policies and decisions. He is committed to mentoring, striving to guide students through their academic and spiritual journey and preparing them to be ethical leaders in the business world.

Intermediate Accounting I & II focuses on the role of accounting as an information system and the measurement, recognition, presentation, and disclosure of economic decisions. Concentration will be given to the study of assets, cash, receivables, time value, and inventory. 

BU306 Employee and Labor Relations

This course will examine the strategic management of an organization’s human capital. Functions of supporting a positive and ethical approach to managing human resources including analysis, planning, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, and other relations will be examined. 

BU402 Organizational Behavior

Organizational behavior is the study of how people behave within groups. This area of study examines human behavior in a work environment and determines its impact on job structure, performance, communication, motivation, and leadership.  Organizational behavior helps in improving functional behavior within the organization and helps attain higher productivity, effectiveness, efficiency, and organizational citizenship. 

BU404 Business Ethics and the Legal Environment

The emphasis of the course is on the legal and ethical issues affecting the way businesses operate, including contracts, product liability, regulation, anti-trust, and employment. 

BU407 Strategic Management

Strategic Management prepares students with the foundation they need to become successful leaders capable of making well-reasoned strategic decisions. Cases and models will be utilized to examine and analyze practical applications for implementing and sustaining structure in an organization.
