B.D.B. in Pastoral Theology & Practical Ministry
Prepare yourself to go into local church ministry and be equipped to serve in any position!
When you receive your Bachelor’s Degree in Bible with a double minor in Pastoral Theology and Practical Ministry, you will be well-versed in multiple ministry positions. This degree requires you to learn many of the in’s and out’s of pastoral ministry, preaching an expository message, and translating the Bible’s original languages. Your professors will be seasoned individuals with the education and experience to properly guide and equip you for local church ministry.
Your Pastoral Theology And Practical Ministry Degree Will Teach You
- A practical knowledge of the pastoral duties and ministries of the local church.
- A practical knowledge of the Great Commission as an evangelistic and disciple-making command from Christ.
- How to effectively communicate biblical truth in preach and/or teaching settings.
- The ability to articulate basic Christian doctrines of both Old and New Testament.
- Be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills as related to Bible study, sermon and/or lesson preparation, and spiritual formation of the believer.

Mr. Clark is a loved and respected professor who brings experience from the pastorate and a genuine desire to share his knowledge of the Word of God with our students.

BI 403- Romans
A historical and theological study of the major epistle of the Apostle Paul. The letter’s purpose, structure, and message of salvation is analyzed in the light of the life situation of the book.
LA 311, 312- Greek I, II
The fundamentals of New Testament Greek including vocabulary, conjugation, and some syntax. The student will be doing some translation in the book of 1 John by the end of the second semester.
PT 302- Counseling
An in-depth study of counseling theory and the establishment of a Biblical counseling method. Also covered is a pastor’s understanding of the various types of church members, how to restore erring Christians, and how to deal with the pastoral stress that comes from the ministry to others.
PT 304- Advanced Youth Ministries
An in-depth study of church-related ministry to children and teens. The needs of various age groups will be studied as well as specific programs that build a successful church ministry and a spiritual group of young people for Christ. Projects and practical learning opportunities will be incorporated into the course to provide the student with not only the theory of youth work but also some limited, hands-on experience.
PT 311, 312- Homiletics I, II
Instruction in the preperation and delivery of sermons. The second semester is spend in supervised preperation and delivery of sermons along with continued instruction in theory and methods.
