You helped us reach our $75,000 matching gift. “Many hands make light work.” Hearing the challenge issued by two donors, many donors joined together and donated $80,000 for the End of Year Christmas Offering. In total, Southeastern raised $155,000 to go toward scholarships, accreditation expenses, and capital improvements. THANKS!
We are thrilled to announce another end of the year challenge. Again, two donors have issued a matching grant challenge. One donor has offered a challenge of $50,000, and the other donor has offered a challenge of $25,000. That’s right! If we can raise $75,000 by the end of the year, your gifts will be matched by $75,000. We intend to designate $75,000 for student scholarships and $75,000 to the annual fund, which will be used for many of the campus renovations you see going on around the campus as well as accreditation expenses.
Because of your response to last year’s end of the year matching grant challenge, we have been able to award $110,295.47 in scholarships to our students. We were also able to extend many more scholarship offerings to students who we were recruiting. Additionally, we were able to renovate all four dormitories with new carpet. Our students absolutely love the fresh look of their rooms. Currently, our maintenance staff is renovating the exterior of the library building. They have begun refurbishing the tennis courts with plans to install one tennis court and two pickleball courts. They also purchased seven used 25 foot, steel light poles with lights and have begun installing lights on the football field, which will allow all kinds of sporting activities to be played at night. The students can hardly wait to play flag football at night!
Please consider a generous end of the year matching gift donation for Southeastern College. We need your help! We can now receive your gift of highly appreciated stocks and bonds, which you can donate tax-free. If you are not a 20/20 Vision Club Partner, please consider becoming one today.
Those who are 70 ½ and older may make a gift to Southeastern directly from their IRA which will serve to reduce their taxable income.
