Standard 11.8

 

11.8 Process is in place for the systematical and regular evaluation, of all academic programs.

a. Process includes an analysis of the accomplishments of program outcomes, retention rates, completion/graduation rates, job placement rates, the results of licensing or certification examinations (when appropriate), or other measures of evidence.

b. Minutes of committees indicate the appropriate involvement of both faculty and administration.

Compliance:

The process for the systematical and regular evaluation of academic programs is included in the Comprehensive Assessment Plan. Program Evaluations will occur on a three-year cycle. Procedures for academic program evaluation is included in the Faculty Handbook. This plan has been developed but not implemented. Therefore, the minutes of Academic Committee and Faculty Senate do not reflect these evaluations.

Plan of Action:

The process for the systematical and regular evaluation of academic programs is included in the Comprehensive Assessment Plan. This plan has been developed but not implemented. Notations have been made to include the program evaluation in the agendas of the Academic Committee and Faculty Senate.
