Standard 16.10

16.10 Institution provides appropriate student financial aid services headed by a qualified individual.

Compliance:

Scholarships are funded by private donations and are administered by the Business Manager in conjunction with the Scholarship Committee of the College, consisting of the President, the Academic Dean, the Director of Development, the Director of Student Life and the Business Manager. The Institution issues scholarships each semester as funds are provided and some students also receive private scholarships from churches or other sources.

The Business Manager has 14 years of experience with Southeastern, a MBA from Baker College and almost 20 years in corporate business experience. Once eligible for Federal Aid and Grants, it is anticipated the College will contract with an outside firm to assist in the completion of student verifications and aid packaging which will add a wealth of experience and personnel to help the College execute the responsibilities of the Financial Aid Office within the parameters of Federal regulations.
