Standard 6: B. Organizational Structure
The institution has a system of governance that facilitates the accomplishment of its mission and purposes and supports institutional effectiveness and integrity. Through its organizational structure, the institution creates and sustains an environment that encourages teaching, learning, service, scholarship, research (where appropriate), and creative activity. It assures provision of support adequate for the appropriate functioning of each organizational component. The institution has sufficient independence from any external entity, such that it is solely accountable for meeting the TRACS Standards.
1. The Board
The board is a legally constituted body responsible for establishing broad policy, appointing and evaluating the chief executive officer, establishing and maintaining financial stability, and overseeing the effective pursuit of the stated mission and objectives of the institution.
Standards and Evaluative Criteria
